Relying on the regional advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as a global innovation highland and international exchange hub, and responding to the structural demand of global governance for international organization talents, it upholds the talent cultivation philosophy of value guidance, science and engineering empowerment, and think-tank driven, and builds a four-in-one talent cultivation mechanism of university think tank + practice base + research center + teaching platform, cultivating top-notch innovative talents with solid cross-cultural negotiation capabilities and profound technical literacy.
Specific objectives that students of this major are expected to achieve approximately five years after graduation:
1.Comprehensive Qualities: Uphold the core socialist values, possess both a sense of national commitment and a global vision, and have a sound personality, profound humanistic foundation, good professional ethics, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
2.Professional Competence: Possess core professional capabilities suited to institutions such as international organizations, government departments, and multinational enterprises; be able to carry out work such as international affairs coordination, foreign-related policy research, transnational project management, international market development, and foreign-related legal coordination, deeply serving the implementation of the Global Development Initiative and multilateral diplomatic practice.
3.Professional Abilities: Possess good self-learning ability, thinking ability, and practical ability; have profound humanistic literacy, distinctive interdisciplinary thinking, and outstanding scientific research and innovation capabilities; and possess keen global agenda-setting ability.
4.Future Development: Possess lifelong learning ability, be able to proficiently use English, French, and other languages, and be able to dynamically adapt to the iterative changes of the global governance system and international rules, growing into high-level global governance talents.
Graduation Requirements:
1.Master core professional knowledge: Systematically master the basic theories and professional knowledge in the field of international organizations and global governance; proficiently master core content in knowledge areas such as international law, international politics, international relations, and the world economy; and analyze and solve complex real-world problems in the field of global governance.
2.Possess problem analysis ability: Proficiently use professional analytical methods in the humanities and social sciences; accurately identify complex problems in fields such as the operation of international organizations, global public affairs, and multilateral diplomacy; and use interdisciplinary and cross-field knowledge to conduct systematic analysis and judgment of relevant issues.
3.Propose feasible solutions: In response to real-world problems in international organizations and global governance, be able to propose policy recommendations with clear objectives and clear paths in light of specific issue scenarios, and conduct comprehensive assessments from multiple perspectives such as social, political, economic, and cultural, forming governance plans that are both normative, practical, and innovative.
4.Conduct standardized academic research: Follow the research norms of the humanities and social sciences; around important issues in the field of international organizations and global governance, comprehensively use methods such as literature analysis, case studies, comparative research, and interview surveys to conduct standardized academic research and applied countermeasure research.
5.Use modern technical tools: Be able to combine professional study, academic research, and policy analysis, proficiently use modern information technology, efficiently complete information processing, data analysis, and other work, and continuously improve professional capabilities.
6.Abide by professional ethics and norms: Possess a sense of rule of law, professional ethics, and responsibility; be familiar with and abide by the work norms and codes of conduct in the field of international exchange and cooperation; always uphold a sense of national commitment and a global vision; and demonstrate the spiritual outlook and responsibility of young people in the new era.

9.Master project management skills: Be familiar with project management working mechanisms in scenarios such as multilateral diplomacy and public affairs; and orderly carry out planning and control work such as project goal setting, resource coordination, and risk identification.
10.Deepen the awareness of lifelong learning: Possess the awareness and ability for independent learning and continuous learning; be able to keep up with changes in the international situation, iterative upgrading of technology, and changes in industry and job demands; dynamically improve one's own knowledge system and ability structure; continuously enhance professional literacy and practical ability; and effectively adapt to the transformation of the global governance system and industry development needs over the long term.

The major innovatively builds a four-in-one talent cultivation model of university think tank + practice base + research center + teaching platform, comprehensively empowering teaching, research, and practical education. Among these, the university think tank takes consultative platforms such as the Ministry of Education's Center for Country and Area Studies as its core, and relies on the revolving door advantage of think tanks to open up channels connecting teaching, research, and practice; the practice base relies on practical training platforms such as the Ministry of Education's Innovation Practice Base for High-Level Internationalized Talent Cultivation, hires practical mentors from international organizations to teach on a regular basis, and carries out dual-track domestic and overseas practical training and internship projects; the research center takes scientific research platforms such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Center for Global Governance and International Organizations Research as its carrier, forms joint faculty-student research teams, and implements the effectiveness of research-based education; the teaching platform relies on digital resources such as the virtual simulation teaching platform for Model United Nations conferences to provide students with personalized and scenario-based professional learning environments.
