The digital prototyping system for high-performance composite microstructures consists of a microinjection molding machine, a liquid silicone rubber (LSR) injection module as well as temperature control and drying accessories. The system is capable of realizing composite injection molding including LSR and all thermoplastic engineering materials. In addition, the microinjection molding machine is compatible with metal and ceramic injection molding. The system is suitable for research in field like biomimetic surfaces and miniature soft robotics.
